Changing...
Welcome to the home of
Grassroots Landscaping, Inc. This site will be
undergoing some revamping both in context and
information. Grassroots is no longer an operating
landscape design/build firm, Andy Szatko, the owner, has
joined with another firm in the Omaha, NE area, CM's
Custom Lawn and Landscape, to offer a greater selection of
services and capacities to the Omaha area.
This site will become a source
of information relating to Sustainable
landscaping and building projects, methods, and interacting
with others in the area about their experiences. Omaha
is fast becoming a city that truly wants to change itself into
a beautiful and efficient metro area. Even though the
main pieces to make this possible are there, i.e. city
programs, organizations, business possibilities, it takes
everyone educating themselves to make it work. This
isn't about global warming or politics, rather it is about
making ourselves efficent and using our environment as a model
for how to create a Sustainable
community.
The site will remain as it has
been with landscaping project pictures and information about
the company in general until the new site is put

WHO
ARE WE?
We
are a landscape design and build business that is based in
Omaha, NE. We offer a number of services including retaining
walls, landscape design and installation, lawn care, and carpentry.
This is our fifth year in business, and we love it. Each year
we have been growing because of word of mouth from our customers,
and we can't thank you enough.

OUR
PHILOSOPHY
We
believe that if you put all of your effort into every job,
you'll get a great product in the end every time. Many customers
prefer a quality job instead of a cheap one, because with
a quality job, they'll get a higher level of long-term satisfaction
and have fewer headaches down the road. When a job is completed
and the client gives their approval, it's a great feeling.

THE
COMPANY
Grassroots Landscaping, Inc. was founded in 1999 by me, Andy
Szatko. I have worked in the landscape industry since I was
sixteen years old, and decided early on that I wanted this
to be my career. I began attending the University of Nebraska
and chose to study Horticulture and Landscape Design. I graduated
in May 2003 from UNL and recently won the Northern Great Plains
Student Entrepreneur Award for successfully operating a company
while attending college full-time. I also continue to attend
conventions and seminars to enhance my education. In a nutshell,
this is how everything has come together to create Grassroots
Landscaping, Inc.
